Sunday Afternoon Services Held For George N. Hull

Services for George N. Hull, 73, will known local carpenter and father of Mrs. Cecil Peters and Harvey Hull, both of Hominy, were held at 2:30p.m. Sunday afternoon in the First Christian church.
He move to Hominy in 1917 and assisted in the erection of many of the city's homes and business buildings. He was born in Moniteau county, Mo., on April 17, 1881, and became a member of the Hopewell, Mo., Christian church while still in his teens. He was later married to Mary Jane Nance and the couple had nine children.
He suffered a stroke about 15 years ago which left his right leg and arm partially paralyzed. He was a diabetic and the disease, coupled with poor circulation, brought about gangrene in the right leg, progressing until amputation was necessary over a year ago.
Following the death of his wife about 9 years ago, he spent most of his time in the homes of the daughter here, another daughter, Mrs. Glenn Patterson, Plainfield, Ill., and a son M. L. Hull, Tulsa. For the past year he had been a resident in the Haven of Rest convalescent home in Pawhuska. It was there that he died last Thursday night.
Additional survivors in addition to the daughter and son here, Mrs. Patterson and the son in Tulsa are another daughter, Mrs. J. W. Howard, Long Beach, Calif.; two other sons, D. L. Hull, Plant City, Fla., and R. N. Hull, Midwest, Wyo.; ten grand children and ten great-grandchildren. Two other children preceded him in death.
The Rev. Frank E. Reichenecker officiated at the services, with music being supplied by Mrs. Ervin Blue and Mrs. Herman Frazier, who were accompaned by Marcia Mullendore.
Casketbearers were R. D. Shaffer, J. A. Shaw, F. S. Lytle, Alvin Trim, Ike Gilliland and D. L. Campbell.
Interment was in the Hominy city cemetery under direction of Powell funeral home.
