Candace Kay "Candy" Kannapel, 49 a life long resident of Henryville, passed away at 11:58 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville.

Born January 16, 1962 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of James and Emma (Moore) Bottorff who are both deceased.

Candy was employed at the First Baptist Church daycare in Henryville, and also was employed at the Shell station in Henryville for nine years

Doug and Candy were married October 2, 1982 in Sellersburg, IN.

Dougie A. (Lindsey Sparks) Kannapel of Charlestown, Ashley M. (Jeremy W.) Cissell of Otiso, Brittney S. (Tommy C. Howson) Kannapel of Henryville, Ryan S.O. Kannapel of Henryville, three grandchildren, William Kannapel, Kayleb Elrod, both of Otisco, Riley Howson of Henryville, her brothers and sisters Barbara (Wayne) Jackson, Rodney Bottorff, Allen (Rhonda) Bottorff, Robin (Brad) Jones all of Henryville.

Candy was a 1980 Henryville High School graduate and a member of First Baptist Church of Henryville, she enjoyed people and working with kids and enjoyed helping people, she had a soft heart and a bubbly personality.

Reverend Toby Jenkins will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Adams Funeral Home in Henryville and after 10:00 AM on Saturday at church.
