CAYCE - Services for Lillian Rabon Miller, 84, will be held at 3 p.m. today at Cayce First Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Joseph Borgkvist, with burial in Southland Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be the Home Makers Sunday School Class. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is in charge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Cayce First Baptist Church where Mrs. Miller was a lifelong member.
Mrs. Miller died Sunday, March 16, 2003 at her home. Born May 7, 1918 in Elgin, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Dove Hornsby. She was a member of Home Makers Sunday School Class at Cayce First Baptist Church. She had retired after 30 years of service as a federal employee at Fort Jackson. She was recognized by the U.S. Army for her cost reduction efforts.
Surviving are her husband, George C. Miller of Cayce; daughters and son-in-law, Delores Rabon Church of Cayce, Irene Rabon and Donald T. Burriss of Lancaster; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Eugene and Nell Rabon of Lexington; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Ronnie Turner and Phil Miller. She was predeceased by her first husband, William Thomas Rabon.
