-He retired from the Army Ordinance Corps in 1963 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Department of the Army and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.as a civilian employee.

He died on August 6,2011 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at Oak Crest Village in Parkville, Baltimore Co., Maryland.
