Elsie ''Else'' Merrill Minahan passed away from complications following acute endocarditis. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ernest, Marjorie and Douglas.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eugene J. (Gene) Minahan of Indian River Estates; her sisterMarjorie's son, CharlesMorrison and his children,Steven Morrison, Anthony Morrison and ChristinaIannelli, all of Woodbury, N.J. area; her brother, Douglas' widow, Ruth Merrill of Haddonfield, N.J. and by their children, Allan Merrill of Key West, Fla., Donna Merrill Vris of Wilton, Conn., and Peter Merrill of Haddonfield, N.J.

Else grew up in Laurel Springs, N.J., where sheattended public schools. She married Gene in 1943. After a brief business career, Else studied art and home decor in Philadelphia, Africa, Europe, South America, Manhattan and Los Angeles, as sheaccompanied her husband on his oil industry roles. Afterretirement in 1977, Else and Gene moved from LosAngeles to Cocoa Beach, Fla., and 20 years later, to Indian River Estates in Vero Beach. Else was an active fund raiser for several New York, Philadelphia and California medical and cultural charities. She was an ardent bridge player, crossword puzzlerand dog lover. She wasEpiscopalian.
