Chronicle Nov. 14, 1994
Bill is one of the most gentle, good-hearted people in the world. He took care of his mother, who was not the easiest person to live with I have been told, until her death in 1953. At the age of 47, a batchelor, Bill married Florence Lillian Cox-Loomis Gillispie on March 27, 1964 in Centralia, WA. He drove a log truck until he retired. He had no children of his own, but enjoyed watching her grandson play baseball and was at most of his games.
