Hazel M. Frock, of Emmitsburg, MD, died September 12, 2011, in Gettysburg.

Born October 28, 1917, in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Emma (Wetzel) Sheeley. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 70 years, Roland L. "Bud" Frock in 2009.

Mrs. Frock was a member of Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church in Emmitsburg.

Hazel was a homemaker for most of her life and was well known for her family meals, gatherings, and famous potato salad recipe. She was always available and willing to help family and friends in need.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Hobbs of Emmitsburg, Lona Stoops and husband Craig of Gettysburg; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., September 15, 2011, at Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmitsburg, with her pastor, the Rev. Jon R. Greenstone, officiating. Interment will follow in the Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.
