The son of Frances G. Long Buddenhagen and the late George L. Buddenhagen, he was born in Callicoon. An army veteran of the Korean War, he served with the 49th MP Company and was a member of Riverside American Legion Post #10.
Survivors include his companion of 25 years, Lucy White Mathewson at home; two daughters, Linda Buddenhagen Allen and Lisa Buddenhagen Duby, both of Pawtucket, RI; three sons, Raymond Buddenhagen of North Providence, RI, Ralph Buddenhagen of Attleboro, MA, and Ronald Buddenhagen of Pawtucket, RI; a brother, James Buddenhagen of Katy, TX; two sisters, Betty Jane Ringgenberg of Hortonville and Mary Lou Buddenhagen of Long Eddy; five grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Ronald G. Buddenhagen, a 30-year resident of Riverside, R.I., and a retired employee of the Burns Security Co. of Providence, R.I., died Monday, February 17, 2003, at the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on February 14 in Riverside.
The son of Frances G. Long Buddenhagen and the late George L. Buddenhagen, he was born August 26, 1933, in Callicoon.
An army veteran of the Korean War, he served with the 49th MP Company and was a member of Riverside American Legion Post #10. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed camping, clam digging and other outdoor activities.
He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Lucy White Mathewson, at home; two daughters, Linda Buddenhagen Allen and Lisa Buddenhagen Duby, both of Pawtucket, R.I.; three sons, Raymond Buddenhagen of North Providence, R.I., Ralph Buddenhagen of Attleboro, Mass., and Ronald Buddenhagen Jr. of Pawtucket, R.I.; a brother, James Buddenhagen of Katy, Tex.; two sisters, Betty Jane Ringgenberg of Hortonville and Mary Lou Buddenhagen of Long Eddy; five grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Services were held last Friday at the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home in Riverside, R.I.
Burial was made in Olivett Memorial Park Cemetery in Riverside, R.I.
