Bernard E. Peterhansel, age 91, of Glidden, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011, at the Park Manor Nursing Home, in Park Falls, Wisconsin.
Bernard was born on May 22, 1920, in Glidden, the son of Frank X. and Sylvia J. (Williams) Peterhansel. He was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in World War II, from 1943 to 1945. He and Dorothy J. Berry were united in marriage, in Park Falls, Wisconsin, on September 9, 1950. He was a rip saw operator for various lumber companies over the years. From 1947 until 1971, Bernard and Dorothy owned and operated the Glidden Woods Resort. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Glidden.

A visitation, for family and friends, will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, in Glidden, beginning at 10 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2011, and continuing until the hour of service.

A Funeral Service, for Bernard, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2011, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, in Glidden. Reverend Dale Heinlein will officiate. Casket bearers will include: Eugene Beil, Pat Bonney, Doug Runice, Frank Kempf, Sheridan Schock, Eugene Snyder, and Bob Westfall.

His interment, in Mount Hope Cemetery, Glidden, will follow the services in the Church. Military honors will be performed by Glidden Chippewa VFW Post 7300.
