Albertha Lee Young Stockdale, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away February 18, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, November 6, 1905 to Ida Lee and Preston Young, the second of eleven. Married J. Ernest Clark in 1924, later divorced. Married William Francis (Wally) Stockdale in 1956. Attended schools in Cardston and Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Prominent Salt Lake City restaurant owner and business woman. Member of LDS Church. She was always very loving and kind and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She enjoyed time spent with her family and will be missed by all.
Survived by children, June (Bob) Stillman; May (Lynn) Buttle, both of Salt Lake; Gerald E. Clark (Norma), Anaconda, Montana; 12 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister and brothers, Don Lee Young, Salina, Calif.; Rex Lee Young, Sunset, Utah; Mrs. Wilford (Edith) Marwedel. Preceded in death by husband, William F. Stockdale; four brothers, and three sisters; a granddaughter, Karen Cowley.

Cryptside services will be held Thursday, February 20, 1997 at 3 p.m., Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah, where family may call one hour prior to services.
