Eugenia P. (Ziemba) Perry, 94, of Mattapoisett died March 12, 2009 at Sippican Nursing Home after a brief illness surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Joseph C. Perry. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Michael and Pauline (Swicz) Ziemba, she lived in Mattapoisett for many years. Mrs. Perry was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett. She was the recipient of the Marian Medal from the Diocese of Fall River for her years of service to her parish. Mrs. Perry was a 1936 graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for St. Luke's Hospital and at Revere Copper & Brass. She was also the district nurse for the Town of Mattapoisett. Survivors include two sons, Joseph E. Perry and his wife Nancy of Mattapoisett and James A. Perry and his wife Michele of Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Emily Perry, Anna Warnke and her husband Tom, and Ben Lehman; and a great-granddaughter, Alanna Warnke. She also leaves her good friend and caretaker, Deborah Messier-Mayer. She was the sister of the late Peter Ziemba, Katherine Ziemba, Joseph Ziemba, Fred Ziemba and Ted Ziemba. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in St. Anthony's Church. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett.
