Tomasita is survived by her sons, Raymond T. Johnson and his wife, Lorraine of Flagstaff, AZ, Melvin L. Johnson Sr. and his wife, Virginia of Pleasonton, CA, daughter, Irene Patterson and her husband, Johnny of Robertsdale, AL, step-sons, Clarence D. Johnson Jr. and his wife, Ann of Calexico, CA, Perry E. Johnson and his wife, Toni of Los Altos, CA, Larry Johnson and his wife, Lena of El Sobrante, CA, step-daughter, June Cardwell of Chaparral, NM, brothers, Benny Barela and his wife, Tillie of Flagstaff, AZ, Willie Barela of Durango, CO, sister, Lucinda Salazar of Camp Verde, AZ, 18 grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Tomasita was preceded in death by her husband, C. Douglas Johnson Sr., brothers, George Barela and Tom Barela and sisters, Mary Puttman and Marion Ortiz.
Tomasita managed the Mineral Bathhouse in Jemez Springs for many years. Tomasita was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Jemez Springs.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Jemez Springs, with Father Jim Johnson, Celebrant.
The family requests memorial contriubutions be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 146, Albuquerque, NM, 87110.
