HENRY DRAHN FUNERAL HELD

Funeral services for Henry William Drahn, 77, were held last Saturday afternoon from the Schultz Funeral home at 1:45 o'clock to St. Paul's Lutheran church at 2 o'clock with Rev. R. C. Schlueter officiating.

Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery.

Mr. Drahn died Wednesday evening. He had been in ill health for the last five years. His condition grew worse since last May.

He was born a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Drahn near Garnavillo, Aug. 15, 1871. He was married to Mathilda Schiff at Froelich, Sept. 23, 1903 by Rev. H. H. Schuerman. The couple went to farming in Farmersburg township. He retired to Monona in March, 1930, several months after his wife died. Her death occurred Oct. 23, 1929.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lester (Phyllis) Krambeer of Farmersburg, Mrs. Arthur (Almira) Schweikert of Sheridan, Ore., Mrs. Harold (Berdina) Nevermann of Monona; three sons, Leslie of Strawberry Point, Elvie of Luana, and Elmer of Farmersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Vullgraf of Monona, Mrs. Lena Larson of Grossmont, Calif., and Miss Emma Drahn of Lancster, Calif.; two brothers, Fred of Monona, and William of Savannah, Ga.; 14 grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters.

Music at the services was provided by a quartet composed of Mrs. Clarence Nevermann, Mrs. R.C. Slueter, Marvin Kurdelmeyer, and Eugene Ferguson.

Pallbeares were: George Sass, Lloyd Brownson, John Luepker, John Lenth, Grover Miller, and Leslie D. Seeland.
