Martha Anita (Soto) Miller, age 76, joined her heavenly family on January 13, 2002. She was born in Austin, Texas on March 12, 1925. She graduated from Austin High School in 1942 and attended the University of Texas at Austin. She began her banking career at the American National Bank in Beaumont, Texas then she moved to Austin in 1971 to work at the Austin National Bank. She held the positions of manager of the word processing center, customer service assistant and receptionist for the executive officers of the bank. She retired from banking in 1989. She was a former member of the Minglewood Garden Club in Beaumont, Texas and loved to tend to her plants.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vinnie Hunter Miller of Austin, TX; her first born son, Stephen Paul Miller of Evergreen, CO and her parents, Benjamin Enriquez Soto and Herlinda Herrera Soto of San Antonio, TX.
She is survived by her sons, Benjamin Raby Miller of Gaithersburg, MD and Hunter Scott Miller of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Judson Hunter Miller of Leadville, CO, Jamie Lynore Jennings of Colorado Springs, CO, Benjamin Chase Miller of Gaithersburg, MD, Malea Michelle Miller of Gaithersburg, MD; great grandchildren, Jarren David Jennings and Alayna Jaylynn Jennings of Colorado Springs, CO; her brother, Ishmael Soto of Lexington, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
No services were held at Mrs. Miller's request. She was cremated and her ashes buried on top of the grave of her husband at Crown Hill Cemetery in Lakewood, CO. Memorial gifts can be made to Cal Farley's Boys and Girls Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174-001.
