The sailing vessel, The Daniel Barnes wrecked on the Island of Lombok, Atlas Straight, Dutch Archipelogo on Dec. 13, 1898. The vessel was commanded by Capt. Otto C. Arpe of Kennebunkport, Maine. Weather perfect, sea calm, all survived. (from Ripley's Believe It or Not-) Oct. 8 1938.
