John H. Dickinson was born in County Kildare, Ireland, April 22, 1837, and died May 2, 1918.
He came to this country in 1860, living thirteen years in Cincinnati, Ohio, before coming to Jasper County in 1872, where he has been a resident of forty-five years in the Prairie City community.
On November 13, 1867, he was married to Matilda Charls.
One son and two daughters; William, Mamie and Maud.
He also leaves his aged wife, three sisters.
He was the last of six brothers.
