Walter G. Schuette, 76, town of Centerville resident, died early Thursday morning, April 21, 1988 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland. Rev. Henry F. Koch will officiate with burial at St. John (Kassa) Cemetery, Town of Centerville.
Mr. Schuette was born June 19, 1911 in the Town of Centerville, son of the late John P. and Anna Gabsch Schuette. he married the former Helen G. Elliott, of Elk River, Minnesota, on April 1, 1938. The couple resided in the Town of Centerville and they were engaged in farming until retiring in 1973. Mr. Schuette also drove truck for local canneries and was a bus driver for LTC. He also served as a night watchman at Stocks Dinner club of Newton. Mr. Schuette was a member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland and a member of Manitowoc County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons, Wayne of Cleveland and Dale of Newton; three daughters, Mrs. Matt (Anna Mae) White of Madison, Mrs. Norma Behrmann of Two Rivers and Mrs. William (Joy) Krueger of Newton; a brother, Norman Schuette of Cleveland, an aunt, Meta Kaeppler of the Town of Meeme and six grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by three daughters.
Friends may call at Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, 4 pm to 9 pm Friday and at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service. Memorial fund has been established in his name.
