Helen Grace Schuette, 79, former Town of Centerville resident, died Thursday, January 17, 1991, at Shady Lane Home Inc., Manitowoc, where she had been a resident the past two years.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland. Rev. Henry F. Koch Pastor will officiate and burial will be at St. John's (Kassa) Cemetery, Town of Centerville.
She was born February 26, 1911, in Elk River, Minnesota, daughter of the late James and Ruth Riley Elliott. She had been a Housekeeper for the Kohler Family before her marriage. On April 1, 1938, she was united in marriage to Walter Schuette, at St. John's Lutheran Church, HiIka. The couple resided in the Town of Centerville where they engaged in dairy farming. Mr. Schuette preceded her in death on April 21, 1988. Mrs. Schuette was a member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland and its Ladies Aide Society. She was also an active member of Manitowoc County Farm Bureau, the Easter Seal Foundation and Homemakers.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne (Diana) Schuette of Cleveland and Dale Schuette of Newton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Mae (Matthew) Wite of Fitchburg, Wisconsin, Norma (James) Kumbalek of Two Rivers, Joy (William) Krueger Jr. of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren; a great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. William (Jane) Haack of Rhinelander; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Elliottt of Sheboygan; a brother-in-law, Norman Schuette of Cleveland; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three infant daughters and three brothers.
Friends may call at Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and at the church from 11 a.m. Monday until the hour of service.
