Coleman is buried next to his partner, William Garrett. Coleman was an educated man who loved to read and was a good miner, as well. Coleman's and Garrett's partnership lasted from 1916 until their deaths. Coleman was a miner. He and Garrett did assay work if the cattle business was bad, and Coleman could not make any money gold mining. The two also operated a still.
(Note: In April, 2014, Coleman's grave was dug up by vandals, and parts of his coffin and possibly his bones were strewn around the area. He was recently returned to his grave thanks to local volunteers.)
