Edith M. Brewer, 91, of Waco, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at Providence Health Center. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with her family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Edith May was born in Clarksville, Texas, to the late Lonnie Jeff Davis Roten and Frances Harriet Shoftner Roten. She married Marshall H. Brewer on December 24, 1935, and enjoyed 75 years of marriage. Edith was employed with the Andrews School District for over 24 years and was a member of Andrews First Baptist Church. She was a resident of Andrews County for over 50 years.

She is survived by her husband, Marshall H. Brewer; sons, Charles W. Brewer and wife, Martha, of Waco, James H. Brewer, of Dallas, and Richard A. Brewer and wife, Kathleen, of McKinney; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Joe and Louis Roten; sister, Mamie Johnson; and many other family members and friends.
