He was born in Philadelphia on May 19, 1920, son of the late William Julius Penick and Cornelia Carrington Penick, was married to the late Anne Harmon Pennock and was a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by two sons, William M. Pennock Jr. and Walter Pennock, both of Philadelphia, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Jennings and Bernice Tucker and one brother, Charles Pennock.
A funeral will be held Saturday, noon, at Sunflower Baptist Church with Rev. Robert M. Tucker Jr. and Rev. Rodney R. Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites by American Legion Post 99.
