Mr. Yaeger was born May 6, 1899 at Cleveland, Wisconsin, son of the late William F. and Emma Dorsch Jaeger. He attended elementary school in the Town of Centerville and graduated from Manitowoc High School in 1917. Mr. Yaeger graduated from the Wisconsin School of Engineering, Madison, as a Civil Engineer in 1922. He was employed at Wisconsin Telephone Company in the Engineering Department until retiring in 1965. Mr. Yaeger served in the United States Army during World War I. He was a m ember of the American Legion Post No. 427, Veterans of World War I Barracks 580 of Wisconsin, Society of American Military Engineers and St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wauwatosa. Mr. Yaeger was a life member of Telephone Pioneers of America, American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers, Engineers and Scientists of Milwaukee, University of Wisconsin Alumni Association, Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters, and Fellow in the American Association for Advanced Science.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Victor (Adelaide) Stoltenberg of Manitowoc; a brother, Paul Jaeger of Kenosha; a sister-in-law, Norma Jaeger of Cleveland; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Hugo and Clarence.
