CSRIBOU - Shirley Blanche Wilcox, 78, died May 25, 2001, at Caribou, after a long illness. She was born at Washburn, Dec. 23, 1922, teh daughter of William and Vera (butterfield) Pike. Shirley was a graduate of the Washburn High School and in 1942 graduated from teh Zion Bible Institute. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family and was also employed at Birdseye Division General Foods and Cyr Brothers. She attended teh Caribou Assembly of God Church. Shriley married Delmer Allen Wilcox on May 8, 1946. Surviving in addition to her husband of Caribou, are one son and daughter-in-law, Merritt S. and Michele Wilcox of Connor Twp.; one daughter, Trinette D. Wilcox of Caribou; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, Valiant D. Wilcox and a brother, Kenneth Pike. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, 7-9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at the Caribou Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Rennie Tichnor, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in teh Fairview Cemetery, Perham.
