Mrs. Mary E. "Mickey" Allen, age 83, of Corsicana passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She was born on December 21, 1927 in Teague, Texas to parents, James Roy & Josie Milburn.
She was a sixty year member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and had in the just past three years had joined the St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Roy & Josie Milburn and her husband, Emmett Allen.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Tanner and husband Mike of Corsicana; grandson, Colton Tanner of Corsicana; step-daughter, Cheryl Leach and husband Kenny of LaGrange; sister-in-law, Bobbie Allen of New Braunfels; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her church family of Wesley & St. Luke United Methodist Churches.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Carpenter and the Rev. Teri Benedicto officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Needham, Colton Tanner, Greg Dickey, Jerry Blackmon, Jr., Chuck Warrington, and Tony Newsome.
