DALHART — Myrtle Edith Stewart, 97, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, in Dalhart.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Patterson, pastor of Central United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial is by Horizon Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stewart was born May 15, 1914, in Kendrick, Okla., to William and Hattie Bugh Trimble. She married John Delbert Stewart on Dec. 24, 1929, in Raton, N.M.

She is survived by a son, John Dee Stewart; 10 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 17 stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to The Mission Society, in care of "Spurs and Spices".
