AVA L. WARREN

Ava L. Warren, age 80, Lawrence, Kan., died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Select Specialty Hospital in Topeka.

She was born Oct. 3, 1919 in Yates Center, Kan., the daughter of E.M. and Mae (Stevens) Murphy.

Ava grew up in Yates Center and graduated from Yates Center High School in 1938. In 1939 she moved to Topeka, where she attended Topeka Business College and graduated in 1941. In 1957 she moved to Fort Scott, then to Springfield, Mo. in 1976 and to Lawrence in 1998. She was employed by the Kansas Department of Revenue.

Mrs. Warren was a PEO member and belonged to the Springfield United Methodist Church in Springfield, Mo.

She was married to Charles M. Warren, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Harry E. Warren of Lawrence and David Warren of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Norma Martin of Columbus Junction, Iowa; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence is in charge of arrangements.
