CULVER - Annemarie P. Broeker 80, passed away on September 14, 2011 in Millers Merry Manor of Culver. Ann was born on April 2, 1931 to Karl (Frida Grotz) Aichele in Poplar, Montana. After her Father's death her Mom married Arthur Urlaub. Ann's family moved to Culver when she was a young girl. She was the Valedictorian for the West High Class of 1949. Ann fell in love and married Raymond L. Broeker on June 4, 1949 at the Calvery Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Indiana. Together they raised 3 Children, co-owned and operated a Vegetable Stand for many years on the farm they owned. Raymond passed away on November 28, 2005. Ann was a charter member of The Trinity Lutheran Church in Culver. She loved to bake and garden. A time to gather and share memories with Anne's family was held on Friday, September 16, from 5:00-7:00 PM EDT at the Odom Funeral Home in Culver. Funeral Services will be TODAY at 2:00 PM EDT with 1 hour of visitation before the service, at The Trinity Lutheran Church in Culver. Rev. K.C. Denhing will officiate services. Memorials may be made to The Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in The Burr Oak Cemetery. The Odom Funeral Home in Culver is in charge of arrangements. Ann is survived by her son, Robert (Lois) Broeker of Culver; daughters: Elaine (James) Frosch of Avon, Indiana, Susan Broeker of Scottsdale, Arizona; granddaughter, Laura (Robert) McMahan of Houston, Texas. She was preceded by her parents, step-father, husband, and grandson.
