He was born Sept. 15, 1928 to Bill and Minnie Reed Buchanan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; Betty McWilliams and one brother; Roy Buchanan. .
He was a bus driver for Rapid Transit District in Southern California.
Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Pilot Grove Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Buchanan of Ozark; three sons, James Buchanan of Rogers, Arkansas, Charles Buchanan of Ozark and Dennis Smith and wife Gail of St. Cloud, Florida; one sister, Linda Joan Bell of Carson City, Nevada; six grandchildren, Xander Robberson, Rosa Buchanan of Ozark, Jacob Buchanan of Collingswood, New Jersey, Riley Cash of Bentonville, Arkansas, Aubrey Bartley of Bentonville and Zachary Buchanan of Paris; one aunt, Willie Buchanan of Ozark and four cousins, Charles Buchanan, Phyllis McCartner, Alan Buchanan and Johnnie Parker all of Ozark.
