Funeral services for Nelle H. Kellogg, 83, of 2025 S. Cedar, Casper, a former long time Rock Springs resident, were conducted Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, the Rev. John Flannigan S.J. officiating. Burial was in the Mountain View section of Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Eusek, Leno Menghini, Joe Melinkovich, Ole Anselmi, Art Rosatti and Lawerence Welsh.

Rosary was recited Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Vase Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Kellogg died Saturday, July 22, at Kimberly Manor in Rock Springs. She had been in ill health since last January.

Born April 7, 1889 in Rock Springs, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah E. Hartney.

She moved to Salt Lake City from Rock Springs, residing there 12 years before moving to Casper in 1966.

A graduate of Rock Springs High School, Mrs. Kellogg had attended teachers’ college at Lincoln, Neb., and had taught school at Wamsutter.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Casper.

Mrs. Kellogg was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L., one son, Fred O’Donnell, and two brothers, Tom and John Hartney.

Surviving are two daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathleen and Dr. Aldo A. Dona and Marilyn and Dale E. Stiles, all of Casper; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Fred (Violet) O’Donnell of Rock Springs; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
