Given the name Lars Peter Simonson at birth he was known as "Louis" after his arrival in the USA. Born to parents Simon Jensen and wife Karen Marie Larsdatter, Louis came to America in the 1880's. He met and married Georgene Frederikke Birch in Luck, Polk County, Wisconsin. They married on 7 Aug 1887. Louis and Georgene had the following children: Schanna Victoria, Walter Theodore (disappeared in the 1940's), Arthur B., Gilbert Theodore (my grandfather), Osborn John "Tooty" and Vivian G.
