Lydia "Peggy" Kathryn Baker went home with the Lord Jesus on September 16, 2011 in Cheyenne, WY. Peggy was born September 17, 1919 in Lincoln, NE. to Conrad and Mary Elizabeth (Kolb) Lebsack.

Peggy lived and attended school in Lincoln until her family relocated to farm near Torrington, WY. On March 13, 1942 she married the love of her life Roy Elton "Bake" Baker. They lived in Galveston, TX where Bake was stationed with the U. S. Army. After his tour of duty, they returned to Gering, NE where they lived most of their lives. Peggy was a housewife, mother, manager and buyer for The L. B. Murphy Department Stores of Scottsbluff, Nebraska with stores in Western Nebraska and Eastern Wyoming. Peggy was an active member of Northfield Assembly of God Church. In 2000, Peggy moved to Cheyenne where she spent the remainder of her life.

Peggy is survived by her children: Mary Ella Murphy, Kathryn Lorene (George) Wagner, James Roy, II (Connie) Baker, and Susan Kay (Dan) Cottrell; grandchldren, Larry Murphy, Lori (Murphy) Rotan, John Wagner, Jeff Wagner, Jennifer Wagner, James Wagner, Julianna Wagner, Isaac Baker, Jeanee' Baker, Elizabeth Baker, Skyler Baily; five great-grandchildren and sisters Esther Peterson, Florence Smith, LaVerne Albrandt and Shirley Quigley.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and three brothers. Interment was in the West lawn Cemetery, Gering, NE.
