Mr. Mendralla was born in Westville, Illinois on May 31, 1907. He was a member of St. John's the Baptist Church in Johnsburg and was a former member of St. Bedes Catholic Church in Ingleside. Mr. Mendralla was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8214 in Round Lake, Illinois as a 4th Degree member. He has been retired from the Fruehoff Trucking Company in Chicago as a maintenance department employee.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Mendralla, nee Szczepaniak with whom he was united in marriage on June 28, 1930 at South Chicago, Illinois; 1 sister, Ann Rybak, of Schaumburg, Illinois; 1 brother, Frank (Helen) Mendralla, of Grayslake, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives survive. Mr. Mendralla was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Friends of the family may call from 3:00 to 9:00 PM Monday and from 3:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday at the K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake (in The Chapel On The Lake). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 7, 1992 at St. John's The Baptist Church in Johnsburg. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate masses to be offered for Mr. Mendralla.
