MRS. DORA HART ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS —
Mrs Dora Hart, 83, widow of Harry Hart and a resident of this place most of her life, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Raymond Geary in Fort Lauderdale Fla. Mrs. Hart was born In Navesink, daughter of the late Robert and Angeline Hammell Johnson. Mrs. Hart and her husband were owners and publishers of the Atlantic Highlands Journal from 1904 to 1910. In 1914, Mrs. Hart received an award as the "outstanding newspaperwoman of New Jersey" from the New Jersey Press association. A member of the Navesink Methodist church, Mrs. Hart was attendance officer for Atlantic Highlands schools about 15 years. She moved to Florida last November. Surviving, besides' her daughter, are a son. Rev. Hollis Hart, pastor of the Christlan church at Lake Worth, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. William Sweeney, and a half-brother, Raymond L. Taylor, of this place and three grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday at the Posten funeral home, with Rev. Howard Shoemaker, pastor of the Navesink Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Fair View cemetery.
