Pink was born in Hurricane, Carroll County, Missouri to James Ireland Rippetoe (1819-1861)and Elizabeth Anciller Newsom (1820-1878). After James and Elizabeth's death Pink went to live with his sister Nancy and her husband George Ayers in Montague County, Texas. Pink married Lucy Virginia Tindle (1878-1933) on June 16, 1898 in Cleveland county Oklahoma. Pink and Lucy lived and raised their family in Clarenden, Donley County, Texas, Hollis, Harmon County, Oklahoma, and Lawton, Commanche County Oklahoma where they were residing at the time of his Death.
