Lillian Johnson Barnes, 95, of Westminster, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Golden Living Center.
Born Nov. 29, 1918, in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Anna Johnson Cole and Scott Cole. She was the wife of Maurice Lockard Barnes, who died Aug. 30, 1993.
She worked as a homemaker, a farmer's wife and at Westminster Shoe. She enjoyed cats and bird watching.
Surviving are sons Edward A. Barnes and wife Marietta, and David R. Barnes, of Westminster; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Barnes, of Westminster; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth M. Barnes; a daughter-in-law Kristina Lynn Barnes; and numerous brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Art Monroe officiating. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery.
