He graduated from Lyndhurst High School of Lyndhurst , New Jersey in 1929: "Charles Francis Freudenberg 'Frudy' 'Wherever there's a whisper of tennis in the air Look for a tall laughing boy right there.' Activities: Basketball Team '29 ; Interclass Volley Ball '28 ; Interclass Basketball Team '27-'28; Assistant Coach Franklin School ; 'Springtime ;' 'Kathleen;' Secretary Science Club '28-'29; Mathematics Club; Glee Club. Scientific Course." There was a "C. F. Freudenberg" who received a college degree on June 14, 1934 at Newark College. It was reported in the New York Times. This may be our Charles Francis Freudenberg, he would have been 24 at the time, roughly the correct age for a college graduation.

Charles Freudenberg. Charles F. Freudenberg, 68, of 470 Misty Isle Point, Lake Camelot, died at his home at 8:40 a.m. yesterday. Formerly an engineer in the Chicago area for years, he later worked at the Hines Veterans Hospital at Hines in the accounting department for six years. He retired in October 1975. He was born at Jersey City, New Jersey, October 6, 1910, the son of Charles and Julia Buttomer Freudenberg, and married Henrietta "Rita" Jones at Linthicum Heights, Maryland, July 3, 1948. He was a member of Moose Lodge 777 of Hines. Surviving is his wife. Services will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Corman Mullen will officiate. Graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Forest Home Cemetery at Forest Park. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Peoria-Tazewell Heart Association.
