Arthur married Edith E Bright on April 12,1924 in Lane County, Oregon. She is the daughter of Peter Bright and Susie Griffin. She was born in Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas abt. 1908. Art and Edith had three children, Donald, Barbara, and Halvin.
He marries Gladys Olivia Bales, born May 23,1894,to Phinehas A Bales and Olivia J (Creps) Bales. Gladys married John Fred Scheufler in 1911. In 1949 John died.
Art and Gladys lived in Gold Beach, Curry Co., Oregon. He had logging trucks that hauled lumber from the logging camps. He also like to go fishing for salmon.
In 1944, Art lost his son Donald ,while he was serving overseas during the war.
I got to meet Art and Gladys during the summer of 1955 when we went there to move his sister, Alta and her husband Bill from Albany Oregon to Texas. They were really great people.
Arthur died on August 13, 1971, in Gold Beach, Curry, Oregon. Art is buried at Rogue River Cemetery, Gold Beach, Curry County, Oregon.
