CARRIE LEE CHALMERS, 72, of Memphis, retired housekeeper, died of pneumonia Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge.
She was a missionary and Sunday school teacher at Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ.
Mrs. Chalmers, the widow of Robert Chalmers, leaves seven daughters, Carolyn L. Parrish, Lanell Foster, Darlene Parker and Trudy Chalmers, all of Memphis, Mary Stone of Mobile, Ala., Terry Nichols of California and Jessica Diane Hicks of Nashville; six sons, Obidiah Chalmers, Robert Chalmers and Kevin Chalmers, all of Memphis, Thomas Nichols and Earl David Arnold, both of Elkhart, Ind., and Ledell Chalmers of Great Lakes, Mich.; a sister, Mary C. Phillips of New Orleans; two brothers, Willie Gene Williams of Nashville and Jesse James Williams of Memphis, 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
