Nettie Marie Spink /Carr/Franklin/Pearson
Married 3 times, divorced twice
b. May 27, 1888 Linn Co., Oregon
d. July 22, 1967 Baker Co., Oregon
Daughter of Ernest B. Spink and Carrie Bell Hope/Morrow
First husband was James Carr, they were married in 1913.
Second Husband was Donald R. Franklin, married in 1920.
Third husband was Alfred L. Pearson, living with him in 1940, but not married until sometime after that. Her last husband, Alfred L. Pearson was married 3 times as well. Alfred Pearson was 19 or 20 years older than Marie when they married, indeed he was in his 70's when they were married. Alfred's first wife: Nettie Vandecar, married 1893. Second wife: Alley Shaffer. Third Wife: Nettie Marie Spink /Carr/Franklin.
The Oregon death index has her name listed as Nettie M. Pearson, while her gravestone has her middle and given name reversed; Marie N. Pearson. It's possible that this was done so that there might not be any confusion as to who she was. I say this because Alfred's first wife also had the first name of Nettie, and although they were two different individuals, her name may have been altered in that manner to avoid any possible confusion; or it's possible that she may have gone by her middle name at some point after they were married.
