Dorothy A. Achey, 75, Reading, died Feb. 15, 2008, in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient two days. She was the widow of Arthur F. Achey, who died Feb. 14. Born in St. Clair, she was a daughter of the late George J. and Anna (Polansky) Filtosh. She had been employed as a sewing machine operator for various garment factories in Reading and Schuylkill County, retiring in 1985. She also owned and operated Dorothy A. Filtosh Beauty Salon in Temple until 1970 and had been an instructor at Empire Beauty School, Reading. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Reading, and was a former member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. She also was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
