Rachel Lucille Said, 74, formerly of 216 S. Macedonia Pike, died Friday in Williamsburg Village.
Mrs. Said was born in Mitchell and moved to Muncie in 1934. She worked at Ball Brothers (now Ball Corp) for several years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Survivors include seven daughters, Teresa Cunnington (husband: Jon), and Charlene Cooper, both of Muncie, Catherine Brown (husband: Cecil), Richmond, Ky., Roxanna Cooper (husband: Ted), Jamestown, Tenn., Patty Pelfree (husband: Elvis), Bloomington, Brenda Winters (husband: Charles), and Tina LaForce (husband: David), both of Muncie; a son, Larry Said (wife: Brenda), Muncie; a brother, Daniel Dalton (wife: Polly), Muncie; two half-sisters, Betty Gibson (husband: Nin), and Norma Jean Owens, both of Farmland; 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Said, a son, Tony Said, and a brother, Charlie Dalton.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with Rev. Louis Heitz officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Calling will be 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Parson Mortuary-Adams Street Chapel, where a scripture service will be at 7 p.m.
