She was known for her quick wit and loved to laugh. She loved to work in her yard and was a bit of a firebug. She generously gave her love and support to all those around her without expecting anything in return. She was a Charter Member of Community of Christ Church in Bayou La Batre, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank B. Deakle, Sr.
She is survived by her son, Frank "Burton" Deakle, Jr., daughter, Linda Deakle Barginear, five grandchildren, Dale (Denise) Horton, Cindy (Billy) Auld, Mitch Horton, Michael (Sherronda) Horton, Bret (Sherry) Horton, eleven great-grandchildren, special niece, Peggy Johnston many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 11 A.M. at the Community of Christ Church in Bayou La Batre, AL. Pallbearers will be: Jade Horton, John Horton, Cameron Horton, McKinley Horton, Jimmy Hall, George Johnson. Honorary Pallbearer: Hunter Horton. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Serenity Funeral Home from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Wednesday at the church from 10 A.M. until service time. Interment will take place in Oddfellow Cemetery.
