C.F. THORNTON, CORCORAN DEAD---CARL FRANKLIN THORNTON, of Corcoran passed away yesterday morning at a Hanford Hospitalafter an illness of two and a half months. A native of Stockton, Mo.where he was born on Aug. 17,1911. He came to California six years ago, settling in Lindsay, and moving to Corcoran three years ago. In 1932 in Nevada, Mo. he was married to Ruth Ellen Moore, who survives him along with a daughter, Bernice Alene Thornton of Corcoran, his twin sister, Mrs.Cora Sorters of Lindsay; his mother, Mrs. Warren Ragle of Woodlake, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Hadley Funeral Chapel, Visalia with Rev. Everett F. Hezmall officiating. Burial will be made in the Woodlake Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Stafford, Dick Ragle, Shelton Sorters,Harold King, Edward Ragle and Stafford Ragle.
