Tobique River.E Welling Sisson Obituary Published June 4, 1925
Seldom has the death of a citizen caused so much deep sorrow as that of this morning. when it was announced that E. Welling Sisson of Andover had suddenly passed away at the Fisher Memorial Hospital, where he went a few days ago for treatment as a result of an accident about two weeks ago. He passed through a slight operation on Tuesday in which it was necessary to use an anesthetic and his condition was reported good until seven o'clock this morning when he was suddenly stricken and passed away.
Mr. Sisson has been a life long resident of Andover, where he was born 65 years ago, a son of the late Elijah and Sarah Sisson.
He was always deeply interested in religious affairs and of pronounced faith in his belief. Endowed with honesty and uprightness, the community loses by his passing one whose place is not easily filled.
He leaves to mourn their sad loss his wife who was formerly Miss Mary Turner and one son, Sherman of Newcastle, N.B.
The remains of the deceased are expected to arrive here today when later announcement will be made regarding the funeral ceremonies.
