WILLIAMSPORT - Margaret Helen Schetrompf, 94, of 14848 Schetrompf Lane, died Friday, July 24, 1998, at Williamsport Nursing Home. Born Aug. 1, 1903, in Amaranth, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John W. and Margaret Lehman Scriver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Schetrompf, in 1982.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Clear Spring American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters, Doris "Rose Lee" Maphis of Nashville, Tenn., and Marie Churchey of Sharpsburg; a sister, Augusta Schetrompf of Warfordsburg, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Earl Schetrompf and Stanley Schetrompf; four sisters; three brothers; and a grandson.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 A.M. at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. The Rev. Richard Yates will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
