CLEAR SPRING - Marjorie Pearl Schetrompf, 78, of 14848 Schetrompf Lane, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at her home. Born Aug. 17, 1924, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Maphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Lee Schetrompf. She retired as a waitress from American Legion Post 222 in
Clear Spring. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ,Clear Spring. She was a member of Joseph C. Herbert American Legion Post 222 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Ronald C. Schetrompf and Gary L. Schetrompf, both of Williamsport; one brother, Robert Maphis of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Maphis and Joe Maphis. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. The Rev.
James Swecker will officiate. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Memorial Fund, c/o Nick Hill, 11821 Big Spring Road, Clear Spring,
