Anna Mathilde Christopherson was born to Christian and Martha Christopherson on June 25, 1876, in Norway Township, Lincoln County. She attended grade school there and was confirmed in Lands Lutheran Church in 1890. In 1894 she was married to Martin Anton Anderson. To this union, three children were born: Mabel Amalia, Clarence Melvin, and Arthur Milton. Arthur Milton passed away when he was about three years old. They lived on a farm in Highland Township on land they called the school section. Some of the land was purchased from Ansten Odegaard and some from the State of South Dakota. In 1900, Anna's husband, Anton, passed away. On Oct. 12, 1904, Anna married Chris K. Haga. To this union, two children were born: Conrad and Roy. They lived on a farm in Fairview Township for many years until Chris and Anna were divorced. Anna and her children then moved back to her farm in Highland Township, where she continued farming with their help. In 1948 Roy rented the farm and started farming and Anna and Clarence stayed with him to help. In 1965 Anna passed away and in 1979 Clarence passed away. They are buried in North Trinity Cemetery, rural Hudson. They were both members of Trinity Lutheran Church. (History of Lincoln County, SD page 414)
