Death in Cleveland on Sun. afternoon of Mr. Otto Gaukel at the age of 41. He was born 16 Nov. 1853 in Württemberg and came to America with his parents at the age of 11. He served 21 yrs. as a schoolteacher, first in Washington Co. at Peter & Paul, and then 11 yrs. at St. Wendel. For the last 2 yrs. he worked at Cleveland House here. He is survived by his widow and 5 daughters. He was a member of the Catholic Knights and was insured for $2,000.
The funeral took place yesterday morning at 10 a.m.
