Taken from Barre Daily Times of 23 Oct 1918.----Everett K. Swasey died at his home in Waterbury last night of pneumonia following influenza. The young man was home on a visit from Montreal and had started back when he was taken with a chill upon reaching Burlington. He turned around and came home. He soon turned Critical and died (one week). Everitt was born in Barre April 4, 1892. He graduated Spaulding H.S. in 1911 and University of Vermont as a Chemist in 1915. For several years had been employed with the Montreal Explosives Co.Besides his parents he leaves 5 brothers and sisters. The funeral will be held at his parents home here Friday forenoon, Rev. W. L. Boicourt officiating then internment in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
