Mrs. Stein Dies At Her Home In St. Wendel Today
St. Wendel - Mrs. Joseph Stein, 74, nee Anna Hoffman, died at her home here at 2 a.m. today following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Stein was born in Meeme township June 19, 1871, attended parochial schools there and worked on her parents farm prior to her marriage June 1, 1893. Following their marriage, the Steins located on a farm in Meeme until 1921 when they sold their property and moved to St. Wendel.

Survivors include her husband and two sons, Joseph Jr., of Sheboygan, and Otto, of Cleveland, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her only sister died in 1938. In 1943, the Steins celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Funeral services will be held at the Nennig funeral home Saturday at 9 a.m. and at St. Wendel's Catholic church at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Joseph Schaefer will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:30 p.m. tonight until time of services. The Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Anna Stein Funeral Services Held Saturday
St. Wendel - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Stein, St. Wendel, who died Thursday morning at her home, were held Saturday morning with rites at the Nennig Funeral home at 9 a. m. followed by services at St. Wendel's Catholic church at 9:30 a. m. The Rev. James Wagner, O. Praem, Green Bay, was the celebrant, and was assisted by the Rev. Edward Wagner, Jericho, as deacon, and the Rev. Henry Letz, Manitowoc, sub-deacon. Burial was made in St. Wendel cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert, Leander, Joseph, Alex Stein, Herman Brost and Joseph Wagner. Members of St. Anne's society escorted the body from the funeral home to the church. Surrounding the casket while the body lay in state were many spiritual bouquets and floral tributes from the Cleveland State bank, the Lakeshore Canning company of Cleveland, and the Lakeshore Canning company employes.

Attending the services from away were Mrs. Anton Van de Loo, Wishawauka, Ind,; Fred Stein, South bend, Ind.; Leo Stein and Mrs. Leander Stein, Highland Park, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Brost, Milwaukee; Othmar Meyer, Elmer Meyer, Harold Meyer and Herbert Meyer of Marshfield, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gries, Sherwood; Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Miller, Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. William Stein, and Mrs. William Schneider, Chilton; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph DeYoung, Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wagner, Green Bay, and Dr. and Mrs. Ray Wagner, Oshkosh.
